Growing up, the kitchen was always the heart of our home.

There was usually flour on the bench, something in the oven, and the warm smell of baking drifting through the house. Walking into the kitchen felt like walking into comfort — warmth, sweetness, and the quiet feeling of being home.

When I was developing this candle, the very first person I tested it on was my mum.

Out of all the candles, this one was immediately her favourite.

What surprised me was hearing why.

She said it reminded her of her own mother’s kitchen.

Her mum would often have apples simmering on the stove with cloves — the base for her famous apple slice. The whole house would fill with that warm, spiced sweetness while she cooked.

The moment Mum smelled this candle, it took her straight back there.

That’s what this candle became about — the way certain smells carry memories across generations.
