Lemon Verbena Sugar

I've only recently discovered the deliciousness of Lemon Verbena, how did I not know about this earlier? Grown in my Mum's beautiful country garden, this plant is incredibly fresh with the most amazing citrus flavour. We air dry the Lemon Verbena with the sugar, naturally in our sun room to capture the most vibrant colour and flavour, with no extreme heat or comercial processes.

It's aromatic qualities make it a perfect addition to cocktails. We use it at our restaurant's bar. Try it in a Lemon Verbena Mojitos, Lemon Verbena Gin and Tonic and Lemon Verbena Margarita! Experiment with it. It's so incredibly versatile. It's definitely become a  much loved favourite of ours.

Our Favourite Ways to Use Lemon Verbena Sugar:

1.  Lemon Verbena Tea: Sweeten hot or iced tea with lemon verbena sugar for a natural refreshing citrus twist.
2. Lemon Verbena Shortbread: This sugar is exceptional sprinkled into shortbread cookie dough. Its zesty and incredibly delicious.
3. Lemon Verbena Yogurt Parfait: Sprinkle lemon verbena sugar over yogurt and fresh fruit for a flavourful breakfast or snack.
4. Lemon Verbena Cocktails: Of course we love using this sugar in cocktails! Rim cocktail glasses with lemon verbena sugar or use it to sweeten drinks like Lemon Verbena Mojitos, Lemon Verbena Gin and Tonics, or Lemon Verbena Margaritas for a unique twist!
