MANGO CHUTNEY – KENSINGTON PRIDE
A bright, sweet chutney made from hand-picked Kensington Pride mangoes, gathered from a hidden valley orchard close to home.
Once a year, when the trees are heavy with fruit, we head out to a small, family-run orchard tucked deep in a valley. The trees were planted over 60 years ago — grown from the hands of a father and son — and still produce some of the most beautiful mangoes we’ve ever tasted.
There’s no easy road in. You need a four-wheel drive, a trailer, and a bit of time. So each season, we collect as much fruit as we can carry, knowing this is our one window to capture it.
Those mangoes become this chutney.
Cooked down in our kitchen with sugar, vinegar, and warming spices, it’s rich, sweet, and full of real mango flavour — soft, golden, and gently spiced, with a depth that only comes from truly ripe fruit.
It’s a jar that holds a moment in time — a season, a place, and something we wait all year for.
How to Use
Spoon generously alongside meats, curries, or simple meals that need a little brightness.
It pairs beautifully with both rich and spiced dishes.
Perfect With:

• curries and rice dishes
• cheese boards (especially sharp or creamy cheeses)
• sandwiches and wraps

From Our Kitchen
This chutney begins long before it reaches the pot.
It starts in that valley — with trees planted decades ago, fruit ripened in the heat, and a short season that comes and goes quickly.
We make it once a year, in as many jars as we can manage, so we can hold onto it just a little longer.
