The Hug Mug

This handcrafted Mini Hug Mug was created by ceramic artist Johanna, in the hinterland of Mount Tom, Queensland. Small enough to nestle comfortably in your hands, it's designed for slow mornings, afternoon tea breaks, and those little everyday rituals that deserve beautiful objects.

Each mug begins as natural speckled clay before being individually shaped, glazed and fired by hand. The warm brown glaze flows differently across every piece, creating unique markings, speckles and textures that can never be replicated exactly.

We love these mugs because they feel wonderfully tactile — substantial enough to feel special, yet perfectly sized for espresso, tea tastings, a piccolo, or simply a small comforting cuppa.

Johanna creates small-batch ceramics from her studio in Mount Tom, Queensland, drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape and the beauty of handmade, everyday objects. Every piece is crafted slowly, with a focus on natural materials, organic forms and timeless design.
